Weltek developed this orifice block as a plug and play solution for SPDC well
surveillance application. At the inlet manifolds of each well, this orifice block is
inserted to generate a differential pressure across the flowine. First, this is done
by determining the right orifice size that will achieve the desired Differential
Pressure using the known flow parameters of the well and then apply the well
surveillance function. This is based upon the functional specification provided by
calculation algorithm" 25th September 1997. The application provides a very
good estimation of the net oil, water and BSW at the inlet thereby eliminating the
need for frequent well testing.
